DO YOU TRACK THE SUCCESS OF YOUR FACEBOOK MARKETING?

It’s all very well blitzing out a post per day across all of your social channels but if you’re not measuring your post’s success, could you be wasting your time with social media marketing?

We monitor the success of our posts on Facebook using the page function, Insights. Insights provide an easy to interpret report for various parameters on your business page. They’ll provide reports on non paid and paid ads, so you’ll be able to measure the value of paid advertising vs organic ads. For example we’re able to see that our last paid ad cost us £9, ran for 9 days, reached 1553 people and generated 21 link clinks.

Now here are the tabs that enable us to find out the juicy info;

? Posts – this is where it gets really interesting, the posts tab allows you to track when your followers are online, now our followers seem to dip off between 2pm and 10pm… could this be because many are parents of young children and this is prime school/teatime/bedtime? This allows us to tailor the times we post to allow for maximum exposure! Seeing how our posts compare in terms of views and engagement also allows us to target our content to attract maximum engagement. There is also an option here to watch other similar pages to yours and track how their posts perform, an interesting way to see how you measure up to your competitors!

?‍?‍?‍? Followers – where they’ve come from and also any unfollows ?

? Likes – how many and where they’ve come from.

? Reach – how many people have had your posts on their screens, paid and unpaid and how people interacted with your posts.

? Page views/actions on a page – how many people have viewed your page on a set day and how they clicked, for example; clicked on website, phone no, email.

Right, we’re off to review our Facebook activity over the last week, stay tuned!!
